Lake Anderson Caravan Park sits in the heart of Chiltern's vibrant leisure and sporting precinct. Right beside the lake and a three minute stroll from the village centre, guests are in the right place to enjoy everything Chiltern has to offer. The precinct includes a children's playground, swimming pool, tennis courts, skate bowl, netball courts, as well as lawn bowls/football & cricket club. So whether you're here to unwind or get active, there's something for everyone.
Lake Anderson Caravan Park is set on approximately four acres and overlooks the picturesque Lake Anderson. And, as evening begins to fall, the lake puts on her spectacular sunset show, a perfect time to sip that Rutherglen Red and reflect.

Chiltern is a perfectly preserved gold-rush era town, built in the late 1850's when diggers tried their luck on the goldfields and fortunes were made and lost. Visitors to Chiltern will experience a shared affection for the past, with all the benefits of good old-fashioned hospitality and warmth.
Q. Can I book a site online or do I need to call?
A. You’re welcome to create an online enquiry anytime — it’s quick, secure, and lets you choose your preferred site. We will send you a confirmation email once your booking is guaranteed on our side. If you’d rather chat or have special requests, we’re just a phone call away.
Q. Are pets allowed at the park?
A. Yes, we're pet-friendly on our powered and unpowered sites. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on leads, and we ask owners to clean up after them.
Please note: pets aren’t permitted inside cabins or communal facilities!
Q. What amenities are available for campers?
A. Campers enjoy access to renovated amenities with hot showers, clean toilets, BBQs, laundry facilities, a Little Library, dog wash and a camp kitchen. Powered sites include water and electricity, and our grounds are well-lit and maintained daily.
Q. Is Lake Anderson suitable for swimming or fishing?
A. Lake Anderson is a peaceful spot for fishing, kayaking, and birdwatching. Swimming is allowed, but it’s unsupervised — so please take care and keep an eye on little ones.
Q. Can I go birdwatching nearby?
A. Yes! Lake Anderson is a haven for birds from kookaburras, herons and pelicans to the tiny wrens silvereyes. The Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park is just a few minutes walk away and offers excellent birdwatching trails. It’s home to rare & endangered species like the regent honeyeater and turquoise parrot — bring binoculars and a sense of adventure.
Q. What’s nearby for day trips or local exploring?
A. We’re right in the heart of the North East heritage region. Explore National Trust buildings like Lake View House and Dow’s Pharmacy. There’s gold rush history, bushwalking trails, wineries, and the Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park. Ask us for maps or local tips — we love helping guests discover local gems.

Q: What’s the difference between a double and a twin booking?
A. A double booking includes one queen bed made up for two guests. A twin booking includes two separate sleeping arrangements — typically a queen bed and a single bed — ideal for friends, siblings, or solo guests who prefer not to share. Twin bookings incur a small additional charge to cover linen and servicing for the second room.
Q: Will both rooms be made up before we arrive?
A. If you’ve booked for two guests, we’ll make up the main room only. The second room won’t be pre-made, but we’ll provide fresh linen, towels, and pillows.
TERMS & CONDTIONS
The below terms and conditions are applicable to all current and future bookings with the Lake Anderson Caravan Park by making a booking with us you are agreeing to the below terms & conditions. Lake Anderson Caravan Park holds no responsibility or liability for any lost, damaged or stolen goods belonging to the guest. Guests who bring their valuable possessions do so at their own risk. Lake Anderson Caravan Park will not be held responsible for any damages caused by a third party of the booking. Charges to the Credit Card are based solely on the effect of property damages and not who caused them. Guests who provide Credit Card details at the time of the booking is held fully accountable for any debits that are taken from the supplied Credit Card that are bounded in these terms and conditions, that is, but not limited to; Damages, Cancellation Policy, Smoking fee, Late check-out fee and Lost Key fee. Lake Anderson Caravan Park has taken measures to ensure the maximum safety for guests in the duration of their stay. Lake Anderson Caravan Park will not be held liable for any injuries, damages or stolen goods caused by third parties, guests within themselves or the public. If any Terms and Conditions are breached with in the duration of the guests stay, fees and charges will be applied. By making a booking with us you are entering into a contract with us and agreeing to abide by, the terms, conditions and rules of the Lake Anderson Caravan Park. The contract binds you and all members of your party to accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms & conditions. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract & loss of the booking.
CREDIT CARD
Credit Card details must be provided when making a booking with Lake Anderson Caravan Park, for payment at the time of booking plus damage and security reasons. Lake Anderson Caravan Park is authorised to deduct monies to cover the cost of additional/excess cleaning, damages, repairs, replacement of goods, late departures or any other breaches of these terms and conditions. This includes smoking inside. We do not provide these details to any other persons and they are kept securely within our systems. Any additional fee’s will be charged to the credit card details provided. If Credit Card details are provided on behalf of a third party, guest agrees to take full responsibility and is personally liable for any debits taken from the Credit Card details. Lake Anderson Caravan Park is not responsible for any civil disputes once debits are taken. Lake Anderson Caravan Park recommends guests to consult third party Credit Card details prior to disclosing them to the booking reservation.

CANCELLATION POLICY
We want to provide you with facilities that ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxing and accommodate you the best we can, consequently, we would like you to understand what will happen if you cancel your booking. Your booking is for a specific date(s) and period of time, once confirmed, cancellations will result in liability for payment in accordance with this policy. Where bookings are cancelled with more than 14 days’ notice, refunds are processed fully less a $30 administration fee. Cancellations inside 14 days of arrival result in forfeit of all monies paid. Guests who fail to arrive on the designated day or by 10.00 am the following day will not be refunded. By completing a transaction with Lake Anderson Caravan Park you are entering into an agreement with us that binds you to the terms of this policy. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the agreement & loss of the booking. Tariffs are not refundable if you choose to shorten your stay or for any other reasons that are out of our control.
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
The first night of your booking or full payment of your booking will be taken at the time of booking via your supplied credit card details. We will process a charge and send you a confirmation to the supplied email address. By ‘Guaranteeing’ your booking with a deposit, you are providing assurance that you will honour the booking you have made.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS FOR CHRISTMAS AND EASTER BOOKINGS
For bookings over Easter and Christmas, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.

GUARANTEED SITE OR CABINS
We do not guarantee Site or Cabin numbers. Sites and Cabins are allocated at the discretion of management and may be changed without notice to a Site or Cabin of the same, or greater, type. Changes may occur to accomodate other bookings or for maintenance issues. We do endeavour to please our guests in maintaining their requests, however, management reserve the right to move bookings if neccessary.
CHARGES
All rates shown are for a base rate of two people. All additional people are charged per person per night. Your confirmation email will state the number of people you have booked for. Base rate for Cabin bookings are for 2 people sharing the Queen bed. All additional people are charged per person per night.

PETS
We do accept pets on our powered and unpowered sites only at the discretion of Management. Strictly, no pets are allowed in Cabins, the Amenities Block or Camp Kitchen. Pets are to be restrained at all times and cleaned up after. Pets must not be left unattended at anytime.
CAMP FIRES
No fires are allowed in/on or around our cabins, powered and unpowered sites.
A common fire pit is located next to our camp kitchen. This will only be lit weather permitting and will be unavailable during high risk fire periods.
ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Please do not charge electric vehicles on site. There are two 50kW EV charger s located at the rear of the community hub, 3 Crawford St, Chiltern VIC 3683, Australia. Please note that a fee of $55 will apply if you plug in your electric vehicle on site at Lake Anderson Caravan Park.
